Magliman Elementary School follows the K-12 academic system and uses the curriculum prescribed by the Department of Education for all state-run basic education institutions. With the objective of providing holistic education that prepares students for the challenges of adult life, we focus primarily on the following areas:
- Life skills
- Love of country
- Service to fellow men
Through constant exposure to learning in the aforementioned areas, Magliman Integrated School aspires to be a center for molding model Kapampangan community members and Filipino citizens. We genuinely believe in helping our students develop not only their academic skills but also their respective characters and identities.
Consistent with all Philippine public schools, Magliman Integrated School makes use of written and performance-based tests to assess student development. Performances are then quantified using scoring systems and weighted. Grades in all subjects are then averaged to determine the child’s overall progress.
SELECTION OF HONORS
In line with DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2016, awards for academic excellence are given to students who attain these ranges of general grade averages:
- 98-100 – With Highest Honors
- 95-97 – With High Honors
- 90-94 – With Honors
Special awards are also given to students who have demonstrated excellence in single areas of learning and extra-curricular activities.
CO-CURRICULAR AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR PROGRAMS
Magliman Integrated School encourages its students to join in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities recognized by the institution. These include community service, civic works, sporting events and displays of performance arts. We believe that academic learning and character building are further enhanced when they are balanced by social and physical activities outside of the classroom.
